Suspended member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly representing Bogoro Constituency, Ms Rifkatu Samson Danna is seeking a re-election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to continue the representation of her constituency.

She reiterated her commitment to re-contest the seat in the forthcoming general elections, saying her decision to seek re- election was borne out of her desire to offer effective representation for her constituents in the state House of Assembly.

The suspended lawmaker made this known at the state secretariat of the PDP while submitting her expression of interest and nomination form to seek re-election flanked by her constituents.

She expressed satisfaction with the overwhelming support accorded her during her travails by the youths, women, aged and the generality of Nigerians saying her constituents who were desirous of having her back in the House contributed money and purchased the form for her and assured that she would not disappoint them.

Danna assured the people of Bogoro that if given another chance she would do everything possible to attract dividends of democracy to her constituency saying she would use her closeness with President Goodluck Jonathan’s family to better the lot of her constituents and the constituency.

She called on the PDP to conduct free and fair primary elections starting by electing the party’s delegates as that would be the beginning of conducting credible elections that Nigerians have been yeaning for over the time saying the hope of Nigeria lays with PDP and as such PDP should not scuttle the hope of Nigerians.

Receiving the form, the Administrative Secretary of the party in the state, Alhaji Salisu Garba commended the suspended lawmaker for her support to the party in spite of her political challenges, saying her decision to remain in the PDP has justified her as a true member of the party.
