With Semi Ajayi’s contract with Arsenal due to expire in the summer, the central defender’s future at the Emirates looks far from certain.

There is no word yet on whether he will be offered a contract by Ipswich Town and Sunderland, having trialed with both teams last month.

The 21- year – Old’s agent is eager to kick start talks with Arsenal as regards to a new deal.

But The Gunners higher ups have refused to play ball at the moment, and this has contributed to the Anglo – Nigerian openly flirting with other teams.

‘’I am not sure if Semi is signing for any of the teams. We are waiting to be offered a deal by either Sunderland or Ipswich Town,’’ says Semi Ajayi’s rep to SL10.ng.

‘’There has been no contract proposal from Arsenal yet, we are waiting.’’

Semi Ajayi has no game under his belt for the first team of Arsenal, though he has been named in the 18 – man squad three times, and it remains to be seen if he’ll make his debut before the end of this season.

The former Charlton Athletic youngster was linked with Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Reading before joining The Gunners in September 2013.
